LIS Research and Career Symposium

The Philippine Association of Teachers of Library and Information Science, Inc. (PATLS) in partnership with the BLIS Department of the University of Santo Tomas will be hosting the LIS Research and Career Symposium on October 12, 2019 (Saturday) 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Lourdes J. Custodio ICD Room, Albertus Magnus Building of the University of Santo Tomas.

This is a one-day event open to LIS students. The symposium is divided into two parts: the morning session will be for paper presentations and the afternoon session will be for career talks.

The specific objectives of the symposium are as follows:

• To encourage the culture of research among LIS students, through a series of paper presentations from recent LIS graduates;
• To promote to students the viability of a career in LIS, and exhibit the varied opportunities both academic and professional awaiting them. 

Limited slots available; only confirmed registrants will be accommodated. Walk-in participants will not be accommodated.
