Generative AI use and plagiarism guidelines

Authors, presenters, and workshop facilitators remain fully accountable for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and ethical conduct of their work. Generative AI cannot be considered an author or co-author of any submission.

Acceptable uses of AI

  • language editing and proofreading
  • improving grammar and readability
  • formatting assistance
  • brainstorming research ideas
  • summarizing notes or publicly available literature
  • translation with subsequent human verification

Unacceptable uses of AI

  • submitting AI-generated manuscripts as original work
  • fabricating references, citations, quotations, or findings
  • generating or manipulating research data
  • generating peer-review reports
  • misrepresenting AI-generated analyses as original scholarly interpretation
The author used ChatGPT (OpenAI) solely for language editing and improving readability. All interpretations, analyses, and conclusions were developed and verified by the author.

Submissions may be screened using plagiarism detection software and other editorial assessment tools. Submissions containing substantial plagiarism or research misconduct may be rejected, withdrawn from the programme, excluded from the proceedings, or referred to the author’s institution if deemed necessary.
